DoItYourselfHelp.info may be a magazine for DIY thinkers-and-doers with how-to’s and maybe some how-NOT-to’s too, but it is also a place to share our passions for science & technology, internet marketing, multimedia tips and money; health and wealth matters too. This is a magazine, meant to provoke and inform your interests and curiosity, and perhaps shine a light on some of our everyday questions, with hints and tips on how to share and where to look for answers.
When the internet began to blossom in the early nineties, it seemed obvious how huge it could be, but I for one was much too cynical to believe that our governments would blindly let the Internet seduce whole populations into a new era of connection and freedom. I regret believing for a moment back then the purists’ notion that the web would always be a pure, non-commercial info-conduit, a point of view not held by the “commercial visionaries”; look at us now! It did indeed turn out to be less than “a great equalizer” but we are the richer for it.
How times have changed; we finally do live in a truly Global Village, with e-commerce growing by leaps and bounds, and with tomorrow’s secret international e-wars heating up in the shadows today. So… Let’s also explore and talk about the myriad opportunities for nimble-minded people to create their own money-making business on-line, or to ponder a career in the virtual world whether military, commercial, services or leisure.
Besides having a big concern for our health, I also worry about the impact of our needs on our national health-care resources and how each one of us might take a strain off the system by being pro-active in our own lives while we can still do something about our own and our families’ health. Therefore, some of these pages will touch on health or relationship issues, self-improvement and even home-made solutions.
